Can you visit Kazenoko?
The visiting season runs May to November, 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00. Apply by email at least seven days ahead (groups also need to contact the farm in advance). Come in clothes you don't mind getting dirty, and check with the staff each time before taking photographs, using a selfie stick or posting to social media. A visit may be called off at short notice depending on the weather or the horse's condition.

A sharp turn of foot at Oi in the summer of his three-year-old year won him the Japan Dirt Derby and the three-year-old dirt title. He is now with a new retirement project in Tono, Iwate, one of very few JpnI winners you can visit in the Tohoku region, and the face of what the old breeding town is trying to build.
