Osumi Ichiban after racing
By Agnes Tachyon out of Osumi Haruka, who won the Queen Stakes in both 2003 and 2004, and with the 1996 Japanese Derby winner Fusaichi Concorde as his damsire, he claimed his first graded interregional dirt race in the Hyogo Championship in the spring of his three-year-old season, then saw out 2,400 metres to win the Diolite Kinen the following year. After shuttling between JRA and regional racing he ended his career with a 2016 season at Hokkaido, and from 2019 he has been supported by the Meritorious Horse Keeping Support Programme. He now lives at a riding club in Nabari, Mie Prefecture, sharing his days with a pony he gets on well with, and his keeper's December 2025 update welcomed visitors.
