Nineteen starts and five wins in JRA racing. He took three graded races — the 2011 Sapporo Nisai Stakes (GIII), the 2012 Spring Stakes (GII) and, after his comeback, the 2015 Tanabata Sho (GIII) — and finished third in the 2014 Mile Championship. Career earnings 223,204,000 yen.

Grandezza after racing

Talked up as a classic contender, he traded blows with the best of his generation as far as the Satsuki Sho, then lost a year and a half to an injury to his left foreleg after the Derby. He still came back to win the Tanabata Sho as a six-year-old. After spells as a stallion and a riding horse he has lived since November 2023 at Horse Trust Hokkaido in Iwanai, overlooking the Sea of Japan, grazing in the paddock alongside Quark Star, who arrived at around the same time. His keepers report that the trouble with his leg has settled down.
