Strong Blood's racing career

8 wins from 38 starts overall: 5 from 26 in the JRA and 3 from 12 on the regional circuit. Won the 2005 Kashiwa Kinen (G1) at Funabashi, plus three more graded races - the 2003 Kabutoyama Kinen (G3) at Fukushima, the 2003 Sakuranbo Kinen at Kaminoyama and the 2004 Gunma Kinen at Takasaki.

Strong Blood after racing

A dirt hard-knocker out of Tokai Teio, he took a JRA graded race in the summer of his four-year-old year, kept adding graded wins on the regional circuit, and finally reached the top of the interleague G1 ranks in the Kashiwa Kinen at six. After retiring he worked as a riding horse at the Equestrian Park, became a meritorious horse in Minamisoma, Fukushima in 2011, then had to leave the disaster area after the Great East Japan Earthquake and has lived at a riding club in Ushiku, Ibaraki ever since. At twenty-seven he still takes visitors in small numbers - one of very few G1 winners you can go and meet in the Kanto region.
