Dragon Barows's racing career
6 wins from 39 JRA starts. A dirt middle-distance campaigner, he was runner-up in the 2017 Sirius Stakes (G3) and ran in the Tokai Stakes (G2) the following year. He switched to jumps late in his six-year-old season, won a maiden hurdle in February 2019, and retired with a right foreleg tendon injury after finishing eighth in the Hanshin Spring Jump (J.G2) that March.
Dragon Barows after racing
A late-blooming chestnut who used the power he inherited from his sire King Kamehameha in open-class dirt races, then switched to jumps at the end of his six-year-old season and won almost at once. After retiring he moved between homes in Chiba, Fukushima and Gunma while learning the work of a riding horse, and since May 2025 he has lived at Mobydick Riding Club in Ota, Gunma. His routine is shaped around his condition — summer exercise is set for the cooler hours — while he works towards lessons and competitions.
