As this is a school, lessons may mean they cannot keep exactly to the arranged time. Note that the Racehorse Hometown Information Centre still carries a notice suspending visits for disease-control reasons, so telephone the school to confirm before you go.

Impulse Hero's racing career

4 wins from 28 JRA starts (4 from 25 on the flat, none from 3 over jumps); earnings of 140,203,000 yen. Won the Falcon Stakes (GIII) on 16 March 2013 and was second in that year's NHK Mile Cup (GI). He also took the Tokaze Stakes (Listed) on 13 March 2016 and was third in the 2015 Derby Kyokuka Challenge Trophy (GIII). He switched to jumps in 2017, ran three times for one third place, and retired that year.

Impulse Hero after racing

By Kurofune out of Classical Taste, bred at Shadai Farm and sold as a yearling at the 2011 Select Sale for 19.95 million yen. Trained by Sakae Kunieda, he won the Falcon Stakes at Chukyo in the spring of his three-year-old season and finished second behind the winner Meiner Hoou in that May's NHK Mile Cup. He won the Tokaze Stakes at six, switched to jumps the following year and retired in 2017; now 16, he lives as a pensioned horse at a horsemanship school in Narita, Chiba, among students training to become jockeys and stable staff.
