Can you visit Kirishima no Hoshi?
Strictly by reservation: phone the Hidaka Racehorse Hometown Information Centre (0146-43-2121) at least three days ahead. Bookings are taken by telephone only, first come first served, six groups a day and two people per group. As of September 2026 every slot up to October was full and bookings had closed; reopening from November is undecided. The centre lists only Neko Punch and Meisho Doto among the farm’s horses, so check with the centre whether this horse can be seen individually.

After starting with the JRA he moved to Sonoda in Hyogo, racing to the age of ten for 13 wins from 188 starts.
Kirishima no Hoshi after racing
A self-made campaigner of the regional circuit who went into the starting gate 188 times — an iron horse in the truest sense. The wish to take this one horse in is what created the farm Northern Lake itself. At twenty he is still the senior member of the herd, keeping the others in line, and he lives beside Meisho Doto: the farm's very origin, well worth a visit.
