Neko Punch's racing career

5 wins from 56 JRA starts. He stole the 2012 Nikkei Sho from the front as the 12th choice, at odds long enough to pay more than 100 to 1.

Neko Punch after racing

An unusual name and a runaway front-running win in the Nikkei Sho made him a favourite overnight. He moved to Northern Lake at the end of 2023, where he likes to lie down in puddles after rain and get thoroughly filthy. "You are not a horse any more, you are a water buffalo," they tell him. Between that and Meto the farm cat attaching herself to him, he is the farm's best content.
