Meiner Barbizon after racing
A black-brown son of Agnes Digital, bred at Big Red Farm in Niikappu. He could not win in the JRA, but came alive at three with six straight wins at Saga, then travelled through Ohi, Iwate and Kochi and added a graded race in Iwate. He kept running at Kochi for almost ten years and stayed in training until the autumn of his 17th year, loved by fans as "Bal-jii" (Grandpa Bal), the oldest racehorse in Japan. On 4 November 2026 he arrived at Ashizuri Daddy Ranch in Tosashimizu, where his shoes came off and a new life began. Rose Prince Dam, who beat him in a C3 race at Kochi in April 2024, already lives at the same ranch.
