Namura Shigeko after racing
She is named after her former owner's mother, which tells you something about the people around her. Her own record is modest; as a mother she produced Namura Victor, who won the Antares Stakes, among others. At 24 she still tears around the paddock like a tomboy and is thoroughly enjoying life in Urakawa.
