Narita Minister's racing career
Winless under JRA rules, he moved to regional racing and won 19 times (including JRA exchange races). Fourth in the 2021 Kakitsubata Kinen (JpnIII). A fractured pedal bone ended his career.
Narita Minister after racing
A dirt-bred son of Sinister Minister, he never won under JRA rules, moved to regional racing and won at the first attempt, going on to stack up 19 victories through sheer persistence. He has lost one eye, though you would not know it from the way he moves; since 2025 he has lived at a visitor-friendly retirement farm in Shiga, and he turned eleven on 29 March 2026. Unsettled at first by the move, he has now thoroughly adjusted, and his round-eyed face makes him a favourite with visitors.
